Well, I don't know you and I am new here. But I am glad you are going to contribute. That is the point. Some of us (not me) will be good but the sound will be best and warmest with a lot of contributions. It's a collaboration on Fiddlerman's site, not an audition for the Hall of Fame. (At least that is what I kept telling myself....)

You're so right Gitel ... thanks for reminding me I don't have to be perfect.
Wait till you all see my videos, you'll know I'm nowhere near it.
Anyway, I've uploaded 2 videos, violin2 and violin3. They're both pretty poor, but maybe Pierre can cut the really bad bits.

I haven't heard any of them yet. I don't have my computer with me and have limited internet. I am real anxious to see them and I am sure they will be perfect.

Good one Mad_ ... I'm also looking forward to it, hoping I can get my act together by the time we get to that. I have never had to be disciplined with music, so using the click track was very difficult for me.
I have so much work to do to become 'listenable', but this forum and great group of new friends is helping me endlessly.

Thanks Fiddler Man for giving a couple more days!
Really sorry I havent posted my progress on Violin1, been really busy with work, So I've kinda been just lurking around the site.
I did about 50 takes today until it got really late! Plus I have to admit this is one of the hardest pieces I played.. ever! xD didn't look so hard from overview.

Great to hear that you are working on it and that it is a little bit of a challenge. Best way to improve.
Although I don't in any way expect you all to record that many takes or to strive for perfection, it is great practice to do this, examine yourself and learn from your own mistakes.

Many great things going on but since you posted it here I'll give you one thing to think about for the future.
You probably already noticed but check out the direction your bow takes at the end of the piece when you are at the tip. You don't reach the tip of the bow very well the way you are sitting and are forced to use your shoulder the rest of the way giving you that curved bowing. Try finding the right angle to get the bow moving more perpendicular to the strings and practice at the tip for a while.

Here is my first recording.
I know I go a little off key in some places but I am hoping for some good feedback. I know I am far from good violinist. I also recorded sound directly from the transducer which I hope appears at the bottom of this post.

I just want to say that I am still around but I have had a lot of guitar playing gigs. I just got home this morning and checking to see what's going on with the Christmas project. I'm playing tonight and tomorrow as well in San Diego, CA so FM, I will upload a part this Tuesday if that's not too late.
