Never heard it on the viola before very cool sounding compared to the fiddle.

I thought it was a Bach piece. It is so similar to my Bach cello book pieces.

There was a famous violist who did all of the S&P on the viola back in 1990 or thereabouts. I saw him on telly talking about it, but I can't remember his name. I can only suppose it was Bashmet. Bashmet does a great Telemann, but my boxset of him has no baroque at all, which I'm kicking myself about. I need to research him better.
