I mentioned in a post in 'Off Topic, that I dropped and broke my $600 JVC video cam.

As a 'stop gap' while it is repaired I bought a cheapy video camera on eBay.

I bought a new Vivitar DVR949HD for AU$25 including post.

I've posted a video that was taken with the Vivitar. For $25 it is a very affordable option. The output quality I think is at the very least 'adequate'.

The tune is Drunken Sailor

A webcam is all I use, John. Until recently I was using the webcam audio then I bought a condenser mic, now the sound is recorded through that and the video is the webcam.

It works just fine for me too. Your's sounds great.

Looks to me like that's in the running for "best $25 ever spent." Solid performance.

There is no failure, only results.

Sorry John,

The embedded PDF didn't work so I changed it to a link. I don't know why it's not working. :-(

I'll get to work on that too soon.

John, are you using any of the Jay Buckey fiddle books? I see he hopes to have the final installments finished this fall.

@Steve

Hi Steve

No, I have none on the Jay Buckey books but I 'have' taken some of his 'free' stuff

http:/www.jaybuckey.com/free_tablature.htm

Being a 'play by ear' person I don't use written music or tabs very much.
