First I have to say this.    " Pierre,  You are a Genious"  I was a little concerned on how the bow would be shipped as we have a part time Mail delivery person that has a tendancy to fold things to make them fit and I know folks who have had Photos or Items damaged. So I was a little concerned about what he might do with a Bow. But the way you packed and shipped it was just shear GENIOUSthumbs-up and it arrived in perfect condition and really there is no way without intentional abuse by opening it, that it could be damaged.

Now I will start by saying " I am just a beginner " So my review here is from that perspective.

First thing I notices was that the bow was actually about an inch and haf longer then the glassner I was using, but it was also lighter which was nice.

I thought I would have to spend time getting it all coated with Rosin, but I noticed that it appeared there was some rosin dust on the bow arm, so I opted to just try it as is out of the package.

Then next thing I noticed was then when I tighten up the hair that I did not have go very far and had good tension with a nice arc to the bow.

I started with Twinkle Twinkle using long steady bow draws and was impressed with the overall feel of the bow. It seemed to glide, where as my Glassner I felt more like I was pushing and pulling (Dragging). I also did not have near as much of an issue with bouncing as I got past the middle of the bow. By the time I was done playing through once, I found that it took very little pinky pressure to balance out across the length of the draw. And I think that for me was Key. This bow just seemed to almost be balanced across the length of it.

This may just be me, but some how I feel that the sound is much smoother. I do not know if maybe because it is new and hair is clean and maybe on my old bow it was dirty, but the notes seem to be crisp and cleaner without the underlying raspy sound I had.

Anyway to summarize. I can't be any happier. Oh and to top it all of. The value can't be beat. When I priced out option originally at my local music shop ( as I am not all that patient and figured I could just run in get one there ) I was surprised at the prices and could not have touched a CF bow for twice the price. I am truly glad I waited and got this bow.cheerleader

Treat the bows well, they will be worth a fortune someday, the first of FIDDLeman bows.
