Check this girl out. Super impressive for me that she can both play well and dance the way she does. This is extremely unique.

I do believe that if one is inspired to do this then this young lady is doing it as well as can be expected.  I only wonder why she would not pursue more conventional outlets for her talents?

Assignment....

Everyone pick your two top talents and combine them in a new and completely kooky way like she did.

Just warning you skydiving/flying and playing the violin/a has already been done! (look up Shenzo on youtube - he has GOT to be insane...watch till the end of his flying routine!!!)

However, several creative outlets have not been taken.

I have not heard about surfing and playing the violin...

Riding a bike and playing the violin...

Rollerblading and playing the violin...

Horseback riding and playing the violin...

Gardening, plumbing, weightlifting...etc.

I think she's completely and utterly adorable. Don't necessarily "get" all of the dancing (reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld....does anyone know what I'm talking about?) but I love her for even dreaming this up.

You forgot bull fighting and playing the violin.

I did not notice if this girl had a 5 gallon pail ?

Elaine ….. yes, that's called "schtick" and never better.

My reference to "conventional" was only to suggest that maybe her talents would be more profitable as a "regular" violinist but I guess that is not so easy with the weak economy.

I think that girl Lindsey is very original and I love her style, having fun! I don't think it is about, "look what I can do and fiddle at the same time" To me she comes across as dancing and celebrating with an instrument that she loves to play.

Oh you know she practiced that moon walk though ;-)

She's a great dancer and she plays well, too. To keep her bow from bouncing as she's dancing is amazing to me considering I have a hard time doing this standing still! LOL

Hey Genna, it's also the art of recording... What you see is not how it is recorded ;-)

Oh I know that full well, MGN. Especially now a days, what you see is not always what you get. Either way though, great job and fun to watch. smile

What REALLY impresses me about her is how she can move the way she does and keep the bow on the string so well. She is extremely limber. I can honestly say that I can never dance like her frown, surprised? rofl Her playing is far from perfect but the combination is about as good or better than anyone I have ever seen. She will be successful with what she is doing for sure though I am not convinced that she has what it takes to make it only as a violinist. She may be criticized in the future for mixing styles but I love watching her do her thing. She is extremely expressive and talented.

Barrage have a nice style and I enjoy listening to them but are not doing anything difficult in my eyes. There are plenty of fiddle players that can do what they are doing.

This is only evidence that the violin/entertainment field is over crowded.  Competition must be rough.

In the old days a violinist might perform while traversing a tight rope across Niagra Falls.  That sort of thing always got big headlines smile

Not a violin ... but I love me some Guo.

One wonders if the damage would have been as severe had the chicken not been tied to the barrel.

yes, Linsey uses shoulder rest.

i like Linsey, she is great and could be even better in the future. She is auditioning for something, not sure what, so maybe she is heading toward "conventional" profession.

I like henry, too, but guo is a little too much for me.

Speaking of hip-hop violin...

I'm not really much of a hip-hop fan, but this makes me insanely jealous! One of the coolest things ever (in my opinion)!!!!
