I know I'm playing too fast in some of these parts. I had to leave soon so I didn't feel I had the luxury. Now I realize that I definitely should have slowed down because it doesn't sound nearly as good as I want it to haha.

I've been practicing vibrato because I want to incorporate it in my playing so badly, but I can't seem to relax my hand or arm enough to accomplish it...

It didn't feel too fast to me. Good job, thanks for the post. :)

Thanks! :) I am super excited that I learned this song in the short time I did. I'll keep practicing the vibrato and perhaps post another rendition of this when I've added my own feeling to it. It just feels like I'm going through the motions and can't add my own emphasis where I want to without that vibrato haha.

Good job.  I play In Dreams too.  That second part is hard isn't it?

Opportunity is often missed because it wears suspenders and looks like hard work.

LOL - I guess "fast" is relative to the player's own perspective and ability.   LMAO - I was watching this - may have posted it before -  - and I love the laugh at the end - that's how I feel at 120 bpm when I mess up ! LOLOLOL

EDIT: And OK - so did you notice the vibrato at 200 bpm as well - I wouldn't actually call it a fail at all !   ROFL

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Yeah that second part just has me moving into positions I'm definitely not used to usually haha. Believe it or not, this was the 4th or 5th time playing it without looking at sheet music. I think I picked it up quickly because I love the songs from the LOTR series so much.

Having only been playing for a couple of months still, I think I need to slow it down and make it sound better before playing faster. I've been trying to "perfect" it to the best of my ability lately to make it sound good.

I wish I could afford a better violin already XD but I'm not able to set aside the amount of money I want to for another one.

That was the "Online Violin and Piano Teacher" wasn't it Bill? I have watched some of her videos and they have really helped me improve on my playing. Some day I know I'll get up to that 200 bpm haha XD but it looked so difficult lol.

Lol I've been playing a bit over 3 years and still really want to look at the sheet music for the second part.  I normally can memorize a song in a day or two but the second part really just did not want to stay in my brain for a long time.

Definitely I'd say try it again :) I've noticed that there are songs that if I don't keep practicing,  I have forgotten over time and it makes me sad because soon I won't be able to practice half the ones I'll know in a day :/
