Lot's of great things mike. It is hard to believe you just picked up the fiddle again after so much time away from it. Also that you only played for 6 months before. As usual, intonation is very important but I rather not point to every note, rather have you analyze your recording and make your own conclusions. I often ask my students to tell me what is wrong with something and they can usually hear it  pretty well.

Next time you video tape yourself I would prefer that the window, or light is in front of you and not behind as you did this time. The problem is that it is very hard to see details and I want to give you the best possible advisce about technique in the future.

Hey Mike,

Not sure if it was just my imagination but I think I saw your bow hand pinky is straight and locked. As far as I know, you want to have it slightly bent, it might make playing a bit more comfortable. amuse

the tune was rigaudon by henry purcell out of the first lessons book that came

with the cecilio violin outfit.i was wondering why the video came out so dark

no problem ill switch to the otherside of the room that should help thanks for the tip

its been 3 years since i played a fiddle and i couldnt what to open the book and

start playing post the video and find out what i need to work on

i noticed i still have the same problems out of place notes,skipping bow when i down bow,and bad timing.but i guess not to bad for a 3 year layoff and just

start playing after a 30 min look over to see what i thought i could handle at the

time.thanks everybody for helping me out, i really had fun and love the new fiddle

cant wait to see what i can do in the future.fiddlerman ,and everybody, george,

my guitarnow,barry,thanks for giving people like me a chance to learn violin from this website mike the violintisfycool

chinny,thanks for watching my video and posting a comment ill pay attention to my pinky over the next several weeks when i practice.maybe thats why my back

of the wrist and right forearm feels a little tense after a while

thanks for all your replys and taking the time to look at my video look foward to

posting new videos that show my improvement and any further sugestions anyone
