Here is my latest tune, one I call "Skimming Along the Waves." I remember once seeing something I thought would never happen, two things in stark contrast together in one spot. We were at sea while I was stationed on the USS Eisenhower, an aircraft carrier, when a fellow blue shirt yelled something and pointed to the water. I was amazed to see a school of dolphins swimming with us. There must have been at least 20 of them. It was a sight to behold. They are beautiful animals, but the last thing I thought I'd see. On the one hand, you have one of the smartest animals on the planet and a symbol for the green types, and on the other, one of the most destructive forces on this planet. Not only does an aircraft carrier carry all types of aircraft (fighters, attack, ASW, reconnaissance, and rotary wing), but we were equipped with two nuclear power plants. It was like Peace and Might swimming and sailing side by side. It was really humbling and quite enjoyable to watch them swim with us. It was with that memory in mind that I wrote this tune. I hope you like it. I have to record it, but I will post the audio once that is completed.
As MuseScore 2.0b1 offers more than the 1.x version, I'm in the process of converting everything over. I am able to export both audio and .pdf files, so I decided to re-submit the .pdf and provide the audio from MuseScore. I upped the tempo just a tad, as the first tempo marking seemed just a tad too slow. I have the individual parts (violin and piano) as separate .pdf files and audio files as well, in case anyone wanted them. If so, just let me know and I'll upload them as well. I hope y'all like this.
