JOIN IN!
The ASH GROVE GP deadline is June 20th!
🤔 I could've sworn there were quite a few members
asking for more Group Projects!
There's definitely a LACK of participation here!
Info & instructions in the OP of this thread.
Seems to me... lack of participation might put future Group Projects at risk -
woe be to those of you when your pleas fall upon deaf ears.

My printer ran out of toner and I don't have time to buy more, so here's what ended up happening:
* I recorded the Violin 1 part from memory because I know the tune, and the Violin 3 part by reading the music off the computer screen at an awkward angle. Both recorded on viola.
* I'm driving to the wedding tomorrow (it's in the Bay Area). I'm bringing my viola anyway because my cousin is a pianist and there's going to be a jam session Sunday afternoon for anyone who brought an instrument. So that means I can stop in Davis on the way home Sunday night, print the two viola parts at the law school so I don't have to read them off the computer screen, and I can even go ahead and record the viola parts while I'm in the building.
So I'm anticipating four submissions by late Sunday night: Violin 1, Violin 3, Viola 1, and Viola 2.
I wanted to record more than just two parts; Violin 1 was playable from memory and Violin 3 is the one that differs from the viola parts. (Violin 2 is almost identical to Viola 1, and Violin 4 and Viola 2 play the same thing an octave apart.)

Just playing along with the click track by ear doesn't quite work, because the hands need to start moving before you hear the note... if you can play along with it without the sheet music, that means you've already memorized it. (And I'm a little too busy to memorize when I have a weekend trip to get ready for. I'm doing only one practice run-through of each part before recording it.)

I have been away too long but just found this post. You don’t have any cellos yet? I’ll try to record something today! This is sctually perfect, I need a break from the stuff I’m practicing. I’ll try my best.
