Oh - again @Jim Dunleavy - LOL - I see you've scheduled 7:30pm ( GMT ) for the Amateur Hour.... There are a couple of problems with that - but we'll find a way of sorting things - the 'problems' are -
(1) It was always essentially planned to start at 3pm EST for our states-side friends and after some discussion that was the best time we came up with and what was set-up as the FaceBook "event"- and that's our 8pm GMT. That might mean some of the FM family may not be around for your show if you go on "early"...
(2) It had been planned that I would kick-off the overall sequence, and as well as playing some beginners stuff, also to give an introductory chat and the usual "thank-yous" to those who make this possible. This is only a secondary "problem" - I'm not in the least concerned about coming second in the play-list - it's just that my "introduction to the project and my general chatty bits" that I had planned, will be out of sequence....
The ways around this are -
(a) Leave it exactly as it is if you cannot possibly re-schedule to a later time, with the risk that some potential views may not realize you are scheduled...
(b) Reschedule - the first "gap" at the moment comes after Mandy who is playing at 9:00pm GMT - that would make it 9:30pm for you - that may not be possible for you of course and is why you've had to go "early"
(c) The third possibility is, if 9:30 is just too late for you, possibly swap with someone - you could swap with me if 8pm is OK for you - that *would* mean kicking the whole thing off (by me) at 7:30
Options (a) and (c) would involve re-advertising the new start-time of the event as set up on facebook -
..... Any ideas anyone ? I wouldn't want Jim's show to be missed by possible viewers - that's really all that is in my mind...
***EDIT*** Jim - I added to to the facebook group "Online String Performers" - just a place where regular SJ players advertise their shows etc -

Well done on your first SJ recital @Jim Dunleavy !
The "scariness" will diminish over time - truly it will - and - the "fun" will grow in proportion !
Thanks Billy! Maybe next time my bow won't bounce as much - that was the main thing I noticed going wrong as I was a bit tensed up.
Re the timing of next week's thing, after 9 would be no good for me really. I'm doing the broadcasts from our spare bedroom and we're in a semi so next door's bedroom is right on the other side of the wall (he also works shifts which can be tricky. There's not really anywhere else I can do it from.
I'll leave it up to you, because either 8pm or 7.30pm would be OK for me.
