One hint that I'm hearing from you...Playing on and off. Doesn't sound like you're really into it. You need to practice, practice practice until you get ok, good then great then you have to keep practicing more.

There's some great free vibrato techniques on this site plus Youtube  ?

Welcome to the forum Dillon and Dordaneh thumbs-up

Do you guys have an opportunity to record yourselves. I will gladly analyze your vibrato and give you constructive tips. Other here will do the same. If you like you can upload your video to Youtube and have it unlisted, that way only those with the address will be able to see it. If you are shy you can send the link to me privately. I've seen and heard everything in my life.

Vibrato tips:

  • Start with your fingers curved and erect.
  • With your fingers on their tips apply slightly more pressure on the left side. Your fingers will have a better angle, curve, and be stronger this way.
  • Pull back with your arm or wrist slowly so that the finger straightens out.
  • Your finger should now be flattened and ready to push back to the erect position.
  • Do this slowly for a while and pick up the tempo little by little. Remember that before you can build a house you have to finish the foundation.

Good luck done

You are welcome for the advice, exactly

You could record an MP3 but I won't be able to see what you are doing wrong.
You don't need a fast internet to record a video. You will only have the advantage of uploading it quicker if you did. Recording something doesn't use the internet unless you were using an on line recorder.

What equipment to you have? Do you have a built-in webcamera? or a camera with video recording capabilities. Or even a phone with a camera? They almost always have video recorders as well.
