Cool!!  @SeondFiddle

Can't quite tell from the video but you might be tightening the bow too much.  There should be a sight curve left in the bow.  Take a pencil and lace it at the point where the hair is closest to the bow.  The bow should be able to hold a pencil.

Violinist start date -  May 2013

Fiddler start date - May 2014

FIDDLE- Gift from a dear friend. A 1930-40 german copy, of a french copy of a Stradivarius.  BOW - $50 carbon fiber. Strings - Dominants with E Pirastro Gold string.

Awesome, I love my FM bow :)

I agree with Schaick, though, it looks like you may have tightened it too much.

Nice review, @SecondFiddle . I now have two Fiddlerman CF bows. I got my first one about a month after I started playing violin almost four years ago. It's held up very well. My new Fiddlerman Soloist violin that I got for Christmas came with a Fiddlerman CF bow, which seems pretty much the same as my first one, except for having brand new bow hair, of course.

On a related note, over those four years, I put several different types of rosin on my first bow, while on my new bow, so far, I've only put one type of rosin (Petz "Vienna's Best Rosin) on it. I'm interested to see if that will make a difference.

When the work's all done and the sun's settin' low,

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.
