I found it for sale locally, and he sent me a photo of the interior tags. Anyone know what it is?

The first label.... might possibly be this

https://reverb.com/item/330314.....iolin-1813

The label is difficult to read in your picture, but this looks like what that says.

The second label is likely this

This may be a rare violin.  I would bring someone who has experience to look at this instrument and who may know about this maker to determine its value.  But just from what I found on the internet, this may be a nice find.

I'd do it.  You can get a bridge fitted for it.  I would expect $50 - $70 to get a bridge fitted, and I believe you would still be ahead.

At any rate, I would have someone at least assess the value if possible, if for no other reason than to know what you actually have.

That is probably the name of a luthier that repaired it at one time. My pawnshop purchase has a label that reads, “Repaired By Vern Vincent, Dec12, 1946 Canastota, NY

Unfortunately, that is the only label.

Do you have a picture of the violin itself? I am just curious what it looks like. Probably lovely.
