Looks nice. Very innovative with the mute 🙂

Bill, I'm in awe that you remember her name.  That makes her even more special.  I have stripped her twice and will do it again.  Getting varnish right is tough.  I have wrapped her ribs in leather and have leather on the chin rest.  She is in her winter phase where she sounds like a viola.

Fran thank you,  the dots are next to the A string at D, G and D.  They are simply dots of finger nail polish-Sally Hansen Glazed Sand Frost.  Raising two girls gave me a good supply of discarded polish.

LOL - a touch of "Vick VapoRub" on the belly and neck should sort that out.    ROFL !!!!

But then again, I like ladies (OK, I *am* talking about our named violins here of course) with seductive, viola-like, husky voices.... (no help for me, is there ?) bunny_pole_dancer

EDIT:  Not overly certain about the - quote - "I have stripped her twice and will do it again." - but I shall say no more on the matter....  roflol j/k with y'all !

Got me laughing here, Bill.  Yep, the strings get a name.  I have Jane, Rose, Vanessa, Maggie, Erin, cello Doozie, mandolin Carrie, guitar Ginny.  The keyboard, trumpet, flute and drums don't get names because,,,well, they just don't.

Boy I'm livin dangerously now!!! I took off the protective plastic tape surrounding the silver wrap on two of my bows!!! Oh wow.  If I keep going like this I may even put some salt in my soup!!!Life on the edge.
I did this with my very first bow purchase (a $6 ebay bow--they had to ship it 3 times because they packed it in one piece of cardboard bent in half, that was all,,so the first two broke in the mail).  I pulled off the tape and the wrap unraveled.  This time I pushed the leather up over the end of the wrap (the other end is stuck into a hole) or at least up to the wrap.
I feel so elegant.  Like taking off the plastic on a phone or camera.

I guess we will just walk on by without mentioning the garters on the case.

What a beautiful violin.  Always special with your special handmade touches.

"winter phase.. sounds like a viola..."  Thats funny.  🙂   You know and accept all her special characteristics.

🙂

Cheers,

Toni
