My previous bow didn’t have as much dust as my new bow. Every time I play there is a ton of dust on my violin. I also don’t rosin that excessively. Also, I’ve tried different rosins and it’s the same. I’m wondering if it is to do with my bow?

How long have you had the new bow? It's possible that it was over-rosined at the shop. When a bow is rehaired, many luthiers add some powdered rosin to allow the bow to pick up rosin from a rosin cake more easily. I normally expect my bow to produce more dust than usual for the first two or three days after being rehaired. If it's excessive, there may be extra dust for as long as a week or two.

Probably what Andrew says.

Or you are bowing more confidently than you were with your older bow (semi-lol).

You can wipe the bow's excess rosin off on a cloth.

Are you using the exact same rosin and amount of rosin?
Could be cheap hair, I guess.
