read my post about "mendini violins".  i mentioned the white violin and they said that the paint mutes the sound. fiddlerman also said that the black violin he played was not as open as the cvn200. i'm guessing that means the cvn200 is louder.

we're pretty much in the same boat. i'm lookin into violins to learn also :)

gStretch is right. The CVN200 that I received was better than the CVN Black Ebony Violin. One never knows what one will receive. They are very individual and different one from another. If I had to choose one I would definitely choose the CVN200 since they are the same price. I was already impressed when I tried the black violin but then I tried the CVN200 and was even more impressed.exactly

I too purchased the CVN-200 and I am very impressed. I didn't expect any sort of playable instrument. I have trust issues with internet purchases.

And I think it has been said, buying it from KK music store is the way to go. If it is not right, they have a good return policy, and a good track record for returns and making the customer happy.

Well I did have one small issue with them (as in KKmusic) and one large one that wasn't their fault. Part of my shipment was missing but no biggie...it is on the way. The real big issue was that my credit card info was stolen during the transaction. I caught it very quickly and it wasn't their fault...but it is something to be aware of

How old are you gstretch? You sure like to chat online. Does your mom monitor your online chat activity? Anyways, lets all grow and learn the fiddle together ;-)  jimi-hendrix

Not even close, Lucas (posting on his mom's account) is 10 years younger than you.
