Hello everyone,
It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I'm Daniel and I still can't believe I won. I'm so very excited!
I live in Atlanta, GA and I am a Georgia native. My first friend (and still my best friend) since moving to Atlanta 12 year ago, plays violin and sometimes teaches at a local college. I have always loved the violin, and have wanted to learn to play for so long. My friend has always wanted to teach me, but due to some hard times, I've never been able to save up for a violin of my own. I started off as a voice major in college (parents pushed me into that direction because there was no instrument that needed to be purchased LOL) and I've always been passionate about music. A friend sent me a link to fiddlerman on Facebook for the contest and I'm so very glad he did. I didn't know about this forum before, but it looks like a great community, so I'm sure you will be seeing more of me.

Congratulation's Daniel on your good fortune/luck in winning that fine violin.
Here's hoping you won't be a stranger to this website, it's a great one, lot's of fine folk's with some great idea's and helpfull tip's. Take your friend's advice seriously if you want to play well.
