@Pierre.  She's playing a different version of the song then we are familiar with, same lyric's just a different melody. I too have never heard the version / melody HP played till I went on YouTube. The version I've alway's heard is, "Lavender Blue", no 's.  Learn something new everyday.

Nice job, HP.   thumbs-up

I'm in my 10th month of learning the violin, so its getting close to a year now.
I actually found the tune in Mel Bay's First Lessons Violin by Craig Duncan.

Thank you Ken and Pierre.

I noticed that there are two versions with similar names. I got confused too. LOL

I'm noticing some great improvements Robert. Great job.
The pinky doesn't bother me too much since your other fingers are staying close to the string. You may be able to improve it with time but it's not that big of a deal. <---- only saying because you brought it up. LOL
The hair is great, wish I had that much hair to be messed up. ;-)

Thanks for the video!!!

okay.. here is Greensleeves a week or so later...I kept waiting until I was not sleep deprived or pale..but it seems like that wasn't going to happen.

I did about 55 takes.. It took over an hour.. this was the last one... still a pause or a mistake....

Reluctant to post.. but.. hey.. keeping it real.  :) I know it is fast..and I was doing some long bows... but I think I was on my last leg here.. lol

OMG.. I laughed and had a blast..wish I knew how to edit.. the outtakes would be FUNNY!!!

That was great, Toni! I can tell that you're getting much more aggressive in your playing, which is a good thing.

Wow, 55 takes? And this was the last one? I usually do a lot of takes but I don't think I've ever done that many. :) And, for me, it usually turns out that the first one was the best one.

Great job!

And great job, too, Rob. Don't worry if your hair was sticking straight up and your pinky was a mess.

roflroflroflroflrofl

(only kidding, of course)

I enjoyed it.

I also like your blue walls, crown molding and chair rail. Sorry, we've got a home improvement project going on and I notice things like that right now.

Great job there HP and PF. Very nice.

I did not see any problem with your pinky sticking up, PF. Better than me, I do have a finger sticking up too, not the pinky but the middle one and that was why I did not post many video as I was afraid that you all misunderstood my intention, lol.

Toni, that was very nice. Lots of improving there. Great job.

thumbs-up
