That turned out great despite the low attendance! Nice layout of the video too. I'm sorry I didn't participate (life got in the way) but Barry is right. I'll keep playing this song until I'm happy with the sound!

Hey guys, that was great, and I'm so proud of the 3 of you (or maybe 4).
Yes, I'm suitably embarassed because I'd promised I would be in this project. I'm a big disappointment. The thing is, I practised till I was blue in the face, and every time I tried to record with the backing rhythm I was so far out I lost it within 3 bars.
I am not intending to be embarassed again on the Christmas project.
If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're probably right.

Robyn,I know exactly what you are talking about. I just found that I could not play to the backing track.
@Kevin M and Robyn.fnq, I am in the same boat. I could not keep up with the backing track without messing up though.
Great job!!! Barry, Diane and Naska. My hat off to you.
At least I've learned a good tune. Will keep trying practice.
Best wishes,
Robert

Also, I would still like to hear everyones version, even if you play it at your speed without the backing track. So please post those videos here.
I never made it to the point of doing a video. I ran through the first part last night while the Mr was in the shower and he could tell from there how bad it was
Soo..... time to concentrate on my bowing for a while. Don't believe me? Here is one of the umpteen takes I did while trying to have something worthy to contribute. I can only post this because, as I have said before, I have no shame. Don't feel you have to listen to the whole recording - I know I can't!
[Barry - you asked!]

All righty then!
Since there were two versions of the B part and I liked both, I did the repetitions differently. So it's a mix between Pierre's and Gemma de Ragon's versions. Apologies for noobiness and being easily distracted by furry roommates.

Diane and Barry: Agreed! Let's do this again at a later date and a more universally comfy speed. Maybe Pierre or Barry could even write up some harmony/bass like on other projects. That'd be stellar!
Also: well done, everyone!
