I had intended to join in this party but just couldn't think of an appropriate tune to do. Maybe others had that problem, too. That's just one of many possible reasons this party didn't take off.

It might just be a busy time of year, or folks have other commitments or unforeseen circumstances, or, as @Georganne pointed out, the thread probably just dropped out of sight. I tend to look at the topics under "Recent Forum Posts" on the right side of every page; I'm sure I miss things that way.

Sometimes good ideas don't catch on for unknown reasons. And some real-life parties are better attended than others. Not necessarily someone's fault...just the way it goes.

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

straying away from the point, which is being asked to do something then no one shows up...dont have time, then dont ask for someone else to use theirs

I agree. We need an easy way to notice these parties. I saw it then I forgot about it. I can see how disappointing it must be for you Barry. Even made a special video to get the show started. Hopefully the new badge will be an incentive for you all to join in, especially if you're like me and no not already have one. :)

Let's try to keep Halloween going a bit longer this year. Here is mine, sorry for cheating:

Interesting story Barry. I was all alone at home and got the bright idea. I had the green screen up and found this green fabric grocery bag in our bag pile. with no one home to help me, I spread ketchup (which I hate and the smell is even worse) all over the top of my shirt and tried to record. First of all, I couldn't really see anything with the bag over my head and secondly, you have no idea how hot one can get with a bag over there head. I was soak and wet in there and got stinky ketchup on my nice fiddle and all. I had to feel around to find the camera to make sure that I was facing it.
All in all though it was worth it in the end. I cracked myself up!!!
Thanks for starting the party Barry.

Hey, even though I made this video quite a while back, perhaps this qualifies me for the party badge!!! surprised

And now you know why there are group projects.. They help keep Pierre from putting a bag over his head when he's home alone and doing odd things with ketchup that involve a lot of screaming.

Oh, and Yeah.  That ABSOLUTELY deserves a party badge!

I second that!  Party badge for the boss !

Oh, but I'm starting to think, might we not also require a "total insanity" / "lost the plot" - or in the Scottish vernacular - "yer totally aff yer heid mon" badge - the last of which oddly enough kinda relates to the video ?   Give the dude a badge !

Thanks guys.
This party is still very much alive. Let's have some more submissions. Thanks again for getting it started Barry. I'm going to give myself a badge then. :)

Awh @Feathers you have refreshed my memory.

I adore that song... My problem is that part at the end...(GASP!!!). a bit fast for me.  But I am glad you brought it up because it is in my stack and it is my goal to play that one.... as I looooooove it.
