Wow, I think the video editing made the peice.  Great big thank you, Dianne.  Trying not to be so self critical, but holy smokes it looks like I was in a bad mood.  I was actually just concentrating so much.

Thanks again all for the great fiddle encouragement and providing a great Fiddlerman Lifestyle!

Thanks everyone! Glad you liked it. Of course, it helped immensely to have great material to work with.

@StoneDog: I used Adobe Premiere CS6. It's a professional-grade program that might be more than the average person needs to do quick home videos, but it has tons of functionality.

This was a new challenge for me, though. I've used Premiere at work for a number years but most of the work videos I do are fairly simple ones with just a few tracks, usually people talking, so-called B-roll of people doing things, maybe a sound track with narration and/or music, plus titles, credits, etc.

This one was very different: 10 video/audio tracks, which had to be synced up. I have a new appreciation for what Pierre does with his group projects, which are way bigger.

I know that he mixes the audio in a sound program first, but I did everything in Premiere, as it has a built in sound mixer. I might try it Pierre's way if I ever do another one of these.

I imagine that when you have 40-50 tracks, like Pierre gets in his big group projects, it might be easier to mix the sound separately.

Even short videos can be more work that you would think. If you don't need to do anything really fancy, there are plenty of programs out there that are simpler and easier to use than Premiere.

I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow.

I know when I do home movies it takes forever and that's just peicing together the kids etc.... for a 3 minute vacation summary... and you must have some horsepower in the computer... I'm guessing it's a high end Mac processor you guys use?

Music is the stuff of life... thanks for sharing.
