Please help NARROW a selection for a GP down to ONE "style" - to get this process rolling!
These are the "styles" among our "Christmas Group Project" selections.
- "Medieval-Renaissance Era" (up to 1600AD)
- "Baroque-Classical Era" (1600-1800AD)
- "Romantic-Current Era" (1800-TODAY)
- "Medley/Mash-up"
You can help by picking one of these "styles" now.
- You don't need to choose a particular piece at this time.
- You can even change your mind later.
LET'S START THIS!
Okay, I'm having just as hard of a time making a choice (I love them all)!
I CHOOSE #
I'm keeping a tally (below) as you let me know. Thank you to those participating!

btw... Indifference does not show support for a Group Project.
Also, more suggestions of music are not really helpful at this point! ...unless, of course, you absolutely hate everything that's been presented.

Thank you to the members who have voted!
We still need more members to help narrow down a "style"!
I don't want to make any assumptions, because members always have the right to change their minds, so...
Gordon Shumway - may I place a vote for you in #3, where your suggestion "Mele Kalikimaka" is listed? Or, in one of the other 3 categories?
caseclosed - may I place a vote for you in #1, #2, #3 or #4 for now?
Jim Dunleavy - may I place I vote for you in #1, #2, #3 or #4 for now?

Hi all -
There are many beautiful pieces that would be really nice as a group project. I would personally love to see us adapt a Rutter choral piece for strings at some point...The Angel Carol might work well and is gorgeous. But that is for another year.
I will play anything (even if I dislike it personally), but I don't have a preference for any particular era. Sorry Emily, I know you are trying to get people to commit. How is this..... I vote against category #4, and for any of the other three.

Come and let us reason together.

Not being able to really commit to participating even though I'd love to, I don't feel like I have any right to vote in this matter. But I'd go with 1 or 2.

@Fiddlerman -
So far, we have the most votes for category #1 (twice as much as any other).
#1. Medieval-Renaissance Era
"In Dulci Jubilo", "Es ist ein Ros'entsprungen", "O Come O Come Ye Emmanual", "Noél Nouvelet" (Sing We Now of Christmas), "Wexford Carol"
Pastoral Symphony from Handel's Messiah is from category #2 - which is the second most popular category.

WANT A FM GROUP PROJECT? (Thanks for the most recent votes!)
Members who haven't voted - seriously, this is not a "set-in-stone" proposition - just a loosely focused indication of interest to help Fiddlerman.
Sorry, I can't make a decision for you!
Maybe go "eeny, meeny, miny, moe" to pick a number 1 to 4, better than nothing?
...it's hard for everyone who loves Christmas Music to make a choice.
THANK YOU! - to those who have already voted!

PS. I'd probably be willing to "jump ship" if I saw some votes for #3 or #4!

I think category 4 would be fun, so I say #4.
I see I’m alone with this, but it’s not a problem because I will join in any case!

Thank you, Ilona!
You are not alone, since I suggested both of those! I thought a medley was a great idea and figured if a few people voted for #3 or #4 - I'd change my vote... oh well.
Did you watch the cello video I posted for "Noël Nouvelet" (Sing We Now of Christmas)? Shannon Hayden is the cellist (Post #4). It gets very interesting after she gets her backing set up out of they way!
Hope you like it!

AnnyJ - All members have the right to vote (no matter what the circumstances) and you are an important voice!I can only place a single vote for you (otherwise I'd be voting for ALL of them).
Which one would you like?
- Emily
Well, in that case, I'd have to go with No. 1.
I'll try my best to be able to join.
