Thanks mouse for having a listen. It is a jovial tune, no doubt about it. Going to start practicing the new bow style now, Burke says play three notes to each bow for a jig, either up or down, I wasn't doing that, I was playing separate bows, this way is better, takes a bit of practice though as I found out on this one. He also starts with an up bow, which feels odd for me.

Great tune that one Emily, came across it in o Neil's while I was looking for plant type tunes today, I usually find these tunes play them once and never do them again unless they grab me, I never have time to go through them all anymore, but I am going to put some time in on this one, there is another one in there called field of flowers but I am not doing that one, my next one is o carollans beauty in tears

By the way that cartoon you have going is brilliant:)

@stringy -

Is the 'Glens of Mayo' a reel, or a jig?

Burke has many great tutorials at FiddleVideo.com, if you are interested in his style.  (removed info not relevant)

Jig,but I think that the 3 notes to a bow up and down sounds better than  playing single notes, especially on this one.

fun beginner type reel.

Opting for audio only.  I think its a great option to make the parties easier to participate in!  Thanks for easing the rulezes a little on it! thumbs-up

@ABitRusty -

Cool tune - I enjoyed listening!

Hope you have GREAT weather for Rolling in the Ryegrass!

...more thunderstorms my way, so I might as well put 'Rolling in the Muck' (surprisingly interesting tune) on my list.

Glad you joined the Party!

That was great, @ABitRusty. You have such a great toich with your fiddle bowing. Toe tapping piece, again. Thanks!

Great playing @stringy @Mouse and @ABitRusty  :-)

Please find below a jig called the Blackberry Festival Footrace (https://thesession.org/tunes/13910)

My wife says it sounds a bit Russian!

Thanks for listening.

I LOVE IT!

Really enjoyed listening to you play!

Thanks for pointing this tune out... I'd actually done a search for The Blackberry 'Blossom', the other night & that tune was listed - but I didn't try it.

Added "Blackberry Festival Footrace" to my list, NOW!

I've recently been enjoying some sugar-free Blackberry Jam on my diet, but I have a large patch of Black Raspberries growing in my backyard.

Appreciate you joined the Party!

@stringy  I liked your cherry Maggie in the Wood & Glens of Mayo--great playing.

I think I've got something to play for this party--I'll get on it smile
