You are now on our list Scott. I think we get up to 4 per company.
It'll be great to finally meet all you attendees smile

Could we go in as your or Fred's employees?

That is hilarious. Hopefully everyone there speaks English.
I am really looking forward to this event. We don't have to limit ourselves to 10 pieces.
So far:

Amazing Grace

Will the Circle be Unbroken

Auld Lang Seine (afterall it is the start of a new year)

Greene Sleeves

Oh Danny Boy

Cotton Eyed Joe

Ode to Joy

Pink Panther

Red River Valley

Long Long Ago

Go Tell Aunt Rhody

The Ash Grove

I've Been Working on the Railroad

The More We Get Together

On top of old smokey

I may ask for help on collecting the sheet-music on some of them, but making demo's will be a piece of cake.

Yeah, I'd definitely hire Kim and Naska as my interpretors; I think Terry would just confuse people, lmfao!

That's a reasonable point Pierre [that we don't have to limit ourselves to just 10 songs]; because everyone can learn the songs they like and want to learn and everyone doesn't have to be playing the same material.

Tell us the music that you need us to submit Pierre.  And will the music include chord charts for our guitarists.

This is going to be fun. Do we want to take it to a second day? I can get us in a professional recording studio in Newport Beach? No costs...

I ski too... If I can go too? I'll need about 2 months in advance on the recording studio to make sure the room is open just for us. There's a green screen room and everything there. So basically take a week or so right now to make up your mind if ya want to do that otherwise I can bring ya all there and they will probably be doing a Disney animation or something that is really cool to watch.

If I play in a recording studio, even with a dozen or more OTHER better players, I better get a lot of pictures of me in there and a CD!

Nobody I know outside of this group even knows I play a violin...thumbs-up

HAAAAAAAA!  Dennis,,,, are you a super hero or something that only shares his secret super power with other members of the Justice League!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Share your talent with the world brother!!!!!  I am laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes.

That would be such a cool experience Scott!  I'm gonna leave this up to you guys (ski/board v. studio) because I can go boarding anytime I want but have never been in a studio before.  I was getting really excited at the prospect of going up to the mtns on Sunday; and absolutely,,, anyone/everyone can go, it's only 90 min.s from my place, I planned on driving me, my son, Pierre, Mike up, but we could include a couple more cars and all carpool up.  Or,,,, how cool (and less expensive, and easier, and an interest to all, not just snow people) to play together in a studio on Sunday.

Okay, since we're now starting to have to make some decisions, let's get this more organized; can everyone who's at least 90% sure they can make it, RSVP to this link and identify the dates you'll be in SoCal and available for FM stuff; then vote on STUDIO or MTNS (ski, snowboard, or just cocktails in the lodge).  Also, who wants to attend NAMM (if we have enough tix) on Thu (1/24) and Fri (1/25); so far we have Terry and Scott,,, so who was next on the list????

I think we're at a point where we need to start nailing some of this stuff down.  The locals here who I've invited are getting very excited about it too!

Scott, you and I need to meet up here very soon; not only to discuss the logistics of this event, but I want to speak with you about the studio (for Brooke) and studio musicians you may know.

We should do a "We Are The World" type recording but "We Are The Fiddlers", instead. LOL

I actually vote for skiing the day after and after ski as well. :-)
However, I also vote for studio. Are you guys only available for this kind of thing on the weekends?

I was going to mention doing the studio another day to Pierre, but I didn't know when everyone was here; that's why I asked for an RSVP and the days people are here.

I'd LOVE to do both; I just thought the studio would make more sense after the bbq (where we have a chance to get comfy playing together).  I know I could take that Monday off to do the studio.

How about it everyone?!?!?!

Great, this is really hotting up. I need to think of booking my flights soon. I'm planning to come midweek to midweek. I'm easy to go along with the group decisions for those who have to fit around work. Sounds like a Thursday to Wednesday trip for me so studio or ski alternative days is fine.
And I think you'd better show me the cheapest hotels Fred, I intend being awake more than asleep anyways, lol.
As I said, I still reckon on getting a fly/drive deal which would help anyone else's transport issues.
The song list is looking good too!

And I need to get lessons from "House" on how to speak like a Merican! Lol
