Thanks Chinny, I have a real problem with proper violin vibrato though. It is so different from the guitar. I've seen on your videos that you are pretty good with violin vibrato and looking forward to see more of your playing. I don't even try to play vibrato on the violin but playing guitar so long it is hard not to.

Lovely cat! Your phrasing is really improving - I can see that this will become a very haunting tune. Can't wait to see more!

Looks like you have some real impressive hair but we only get to see a little of it. Wish I could grow my hair like that.
Wish I had hair at all...
Nicely done, MGN.
Nice kitty, too...
I almost wish in all the videos people post that there were multiple angles, so we could see your fingers from the other side, too. Coming from a guitar background myself, I'm having a difficult transition to the new angles for everything.
As for the look on your face as you go to turn off the camera, I know it all too well. Mine is even less satisfied, though...
Thanks for sharing. It takes courage to post a video.

no probs man. my friend plays the guitar, he told me that for a guitar vibrato you move your finger along the width of the guitar neck pulling the string as you go.
Picture a guitar and a violin upright side by side then impose 2 dimensional x-y axis on them. For guitar you pull the string back and fourth along the x axis. For the violin we dont pull the string. we need short fingernails and as much flesh as possible, and we rock our finger back and fourth along the y axis.
Hope I didnt lose u there! But yea when you first start out it will probably feel like you're mass multitasking so take it easy and dont be too harsh on yourself.

LOL Mad_Wed. I have 2 cats too. That's why I had to post that video. My female cat Diva sits right by my feet when I play guitar and now violin. Dillinger my male cat always try's to play the guitar with me and he goes nuts when I play violin and try's to play too. Dillinger actually uses his paws and plucks the strings. I'll get that on video. And yeah I'll get that violin vibrato down, been working on it all morning today. Will post another video later today.

Lucky you! My female cat Vilka (Вилка-Fork-in English) used to bite my leg
And my male cat Perez (Перец-Pepper) sticks up his nose and goes out of the room (like "i sneeze on your violin!"). But both love bass guitar- chewing strings
