You're welcome
So, here's the updated list. I do hope the people in blue have no hard feelings, and I know for a fact that a few of them have relevant posts. Actually, I believe that they all qualified. The problem lies in
"• The qualifying posts must be made on 5 separate days."
Maybe you could help me out by checking these users' posts if they actually fit the requirement.
And I believe they do. Just haven't confirmed it yet though.
-EDIT
Lol this post was made redundant by Anathama's post
-EDIT 2
@pky It's not that the winner wins from the number of votes. It's just that if someone votes from the eligible list, then that user's name goes into the cap XD and there's a wildcard from Pierre's vote.

@Pky That was the plan, the vote was just to decide which 10 names would be entered in the drawing.
The problem is, I don't know who will have votes for them, so while I might think a bunch of people deserve a chance at it if a bunch of other people vote for the same person I do then that means my vote was redundant and could have been better spent on someone else who might not get any votes.

The time is approaching my give-a-way.
Please review all the posts in this Topic and send me your votes for who should be included in the drawing.NOTE: You can only vote once via a PM to me and not for yourself.
I'll put in my favorite as well and compile a list that will be ready at least a day before the drawing.
Good luck to everyone.
PS: If you have changed your mind about wanting to win this particular violin please let me know.
Should I post my votes on the forum or and send them to you be e-mail? Not sure what a "PM" is! Educate me...

May faith decide!
By the way I live in Tumacacori, Arizona. 15 minutes from the border of Mexico. It is a wild area full of border patrol action. Very rural. Out in the wild west for sure, cowboy country. I live on a beautiful full operating ranch (165 acres) with my church members. We work very hard... LOL! It is GR8 living. I am truly blessed.
How's that for location?
Cheers!!!! Love to you all!

If I win the violin, not only would I be reliving a childhood dream but I would be able to play violin on my new music project. Many years ago I taught myself how to play the guitar because I couldn't find musicians to form a band. The little I learned was enough for me to write perform and record a series of songs called 'One Voice One Guitar'. A friend of mine introduced me to a lovely producer in 2000 and in 2003 I recorded 19 songs with him over 1 1/2 days. This year I started remixing the songs using Sony Acid Music which I was able to buy for £13.00 after using the demo to produce 2 of the 3 songs I have completed so far. They are part of an experimental phase I have entered after being stagnant musically for so long. The Ambient remixes feature drums which I create from scratch and vocal and guitar samples from the original live acoustic recordings. The thing is I can hear violin and would desperately love to play those parts that I can hear, and then enhance the recordings with real time violin parts. Here is an example of the acoustic song turned to Ambient remix. In this track I can particularly hear a clear part for violin.

I'm feeling nervous about the 6th August, and would really like to wish everyone the best of luck.

Hi, Fiddlerman,
I know some members have mentioned about location, to me it doesn't matter, just like skin color -- we are all in shades of brown.
I know you would be able to afford it, but mailing the seven violins to all winners would be a lot, especially overseas. Have you thought about how to do it?
have the winners pay for shipping?
From my own experiences, for overseas packages, it not only cost more, it also has higher risks. It cost a lot for airmail if you want it to arrive to the recipient sooner, even if one uses airmail, it could still take longer than he/she expects. If you take seamail, it could take over four months to arrive. I have mailed things like books, regular mail, photos, little gift like stuffed animals, etc; some of them never reach the other country. Friends told me they mailed me letters and they never arrived. One time my niece mailed me a letter, it traveled almost half a world, then came to me a year later. I would suggest, if you have to mail a violin overseas, have the recipient mail you a label of his/her address how they would do it in their country and consider insuring the packages.
Just some thoughts that I have been hesitated to share.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to select my top 3 and then post in order of preference. Will PM you Pierre by 5th latest. 10a.m my time.
I was lucky recently when I went to see Talihina Sky the new KOL movie. I was one in 4 lucky twits to get my question asked to Caleb Followill. I asked him 'who is his favorite singer?' He replied – 'Ray Charles, Otis Reading' – and one other whose name escaped me as he'd had a wee bit to drink.. I felt really lucky that day, and the film was superb.
I'd say the Followills would do well to hook up with Pierre on a track..and that's not fishing it's fact! I'm sure you'd all agree right?
Earlier I posted the wrong track. The original track is called 'Tears'
http://soundcloud.com/angieblu.....usic/tears that I remixed to create 'Strange Blue' which was my first time attempt at this type of music.
Anyway I just feel I have to say that there's a sense of panic brewing and that we have to trust that Pierre knows what he's doing, and that first and foremost this is an act of charity and not a beauty pageant. I think we should keep things in the manner they were intended.
Daniel is doing great..bless him.
