That was awesome Naska!! I've recorded this thing a gazillion times and they're all terrible. But I'll pick the best of the bunch and submit it tonight. Maybe Pierre can just turn the volume way down on mine. LOL!

Aloha @Fiddlerman,

I am in the process of spending Violin 1, 2, and 4 toy at this time.  I didn't have any real "Christmasy" things to wear, so I wore one of my favorite Hawaiian shirts cool I don't really sound very good, so if you decide not to use any of the files, I'll understand.  Especially compared to @Mad_Wed, who sounds simply amazing.  I wish I could play that well.  i seem to still choke up a bit when I know it's being filmed.  Oh well, the files are on their way to you as I type this.

Really wish I could have been part of this one but life just never let me get the practice time in to where I feel comfortable putting together a submission.  Great entries so far from what I have seen - can't wait to see the final product come together.

If for whatever reason the deadline gets extended, I'll be able to contribute a V3 part and maybe V4.

I submitted mine via sprend. I'm not particularly crazy about my performance, but it's the best I can do for now. I'm still a work in progress!

Thanks everyone for your submissions. I'll start mixing soon. I'm hoping it'll only take me one week to do this. If you have not left your submission to me before I start mixing I'll still accept it but after I have mixed the sound, I will not. I can't say exactly when I'll be doing that. :)

PLEASE, let me know what name you would like me to use for credits. Some of you have done so but others have not. If you do not let me know, I'll use the name I know, the one you used in your submission or username. Sometimes, I don't know the difference. :( In any case, Thanks so much for a great job everyone. So far I have 36 seperate videos of which quite a few people have recorded more than one. I'll use the audio from all the videos but the video of only one per person. Final Cut processing is hard enough as it is. ;)

Great Job Naska and Barry!!!

hey everyone... Don't be intimidated ... If you can play it with the click track.. Go for it.. We all started somewhere.   I was in a project where I played like four notes over and I used about two inches of bow!!! Join the project please.  That is how our site renews itself... The new ... The one years.. Two years.. Thee years.. It is what motivates us.

I submitted my video tonight !!!! And it was a crazy two weeks.. Would have loved to get a better take... But that's show biz.

Merry Xmas!     I will be catching up on forum posts and all the haps in Fiddleland in the next few days!

Aloha @Mark,

I saw your post and jumped ahead to answer it, so if someone else has already suggested this, I'm sorry for the double suggestion cool

I would suggest Handbrake.  It's available for both Windows and Mac and handles video conversions, as well as conversion to specific formats (iPhone, iPod, iPad, Normal, etc...).  It can output in either .mkv or .mp4.  It's a nice, handy, FREE app.

@Mad_Wed and @Barry  good work!

and @Fiddlerman - "Bill Gunn" is good for me (assuming the 6th attempt at sprending reached yah ! LOL ).   As ever, looking forward to the mixed down version!

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

I was seriously wanting to partisapate in this project, but After many hours of practice my bowing had not improved. So instead of subject you all , the the bag of cat screeching that I call a tune. I will wait and offer it at a later date for critque..I applaued all that have submitted work and look forward to seeing the finished work.

With violins there is no fretting over the music.
