In case anyone might find them useful, I made some video play-alongs at practice tempos (55, 75, & 85) for each part and quartet (Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola 3 & Cello) of the project, and have them posted here:
https://fmgp2023xmas.sharonslc.com
As noted on the page, they are for PRACTICE ONLY. None of them is performance tempo. You must use a Fiddlerman-provided clicktrack to record your video.
Added note (27 Oct): Someone asked me for a quartet version at 65bpm - I've added this.
Added note (29 Oct): I've added a link to go to audio-only files (mp3) that you can play and/or download onto your device.

@Fiddlerman , here’s a big Thank You for this wonderful Christmas project!
I LOVE the song, your arrangement, the Gibbles tutorial, the quartet performance, and the click tracks. And I especially love that everything’s been prepared so early this year.
It was fantastic to have the sheet music available in August, which allowed plenty of time for practice. If you do a project again next year, I hope this will be a new tradition.
I don’t know how you manage to do everything that you do and still make time for the Christmas projects. I’ve been to Fiddlershop several times and can appreciate the amount of work a business of that caliber entails… plus there’s always service and advice with a smile.
It was also helpful to have the Gibbles Violin 1 video available so early to enable preparation with the correct dynamics, nuances and character. Great job.
It looks like our household will also be looking like Christmas rather than Halloween as I get ready to record! I’m putting the final polish on the piece this weekend. Brought out the Santa hat, my Holstein 3-star Pernambuco bow, and the fresh violin strings. So nice to give this my all and still wrap it up before the holiday frenzy arrives.
Thank You.

Ciao to Fiddlerman and to all... another year is gone... thanks you for the new Christmas challenge, i will try also this year....
I'm happy to hear it Walter. Should be a great success as usual.
And, just so you know, I'm not picky with the submissions. I play with the balance when all parts are mixed in without even knowing who's part I'm adjusting. I do that by separating the audio from the video and mixing all the audio parts together before applying the audio free videos. It's a benefit for my processor as well. lol

Hi ! This Christmas project is so cool that I suggested to my friends that we play it live for a concert in a retirement home (tolerant audience because we are beginners lol) for 10.12...
Here is the audio of our first attempt together, we were quite happy even if there is still work to be done (if you have any constructive comments do not hesitate).
I play V2.
But I'm going to try to also record V1 for the Fiddlerman project video...

First post here…
I’m really excited about participating and started practicing yesterday. I’m an intermediate player (7+ yrs) and mainly play bluegrass and fiddle tunes.
Any advice on playing with the backing tracks? I’m having trouble hearing the melody. Turning up the volume makes the rest of the backing track too much for my ears.
Another question about bowing. Do I do my own thing when there are no markings? For instance, measures 9 and 10, Violin 1. The E is down bow, the next marking is an up bow, do I choose where to add a slur in between those two? Normally I would play the triplet with one bow but that doesn’t work. The same thing happens multiple times.
Thanks!
