Weird, my iPad, neither one, does not do that in my photos.

@Mouse  Not in photos (that would be too easy smile).  Have to go to files folder (like Kristie says she is doing in her comment).

I just contacted Fiddlerman. You might want to check back later.

Now, I do not have anything officially to do with Group Projects, but, personally, I would send the best I have by later today. Then, if I got a better video later, and Fiddlerman has not closed submitting, I would send another. He will use the best video, but both audio parts. Just a thought as a participant, not forum admin.

Remember, as was stated earlier, do the best you can. If you can't get the swing, and you're not playing in swing, I couldn't on my cello, I have no idea how, not to worry. Many are able to and it will come out as swing sounding. I did what I could, including counting beats for measure with runs that my fingers could not handle, and coming back in for the following measures when those few sections were done. You can do that with any part, as far as I know.

This is what makes it open to all levels. We all do what we can, as good as we can. It works out in the end.

Again, these are just my thoughts, not any official admin comments.

I'm going to officially extend the deadline by one week to make sure that those of you who are very close can actually get the job done.

Thanks for all of your wonderful submissions. :)

Wait, deadline was extended?

Awesome. I am getting back in to violin and wanted to participate this year but have had, let's just say complications over the last few weeks. Hopefully can get fingers working again and get recording this week. :D

@andi When you submitted there should have been a message that said something about Fiddlerman will be notified the upload was deposited into his Dropbox.

Also, check back, Fiddlerman will be posting a list of all submissions a little while before the deadline date. Check back for this listing.

thanks for the extension. I will keep working on this but fear I may not be up to speed on this one. I'm getting down on myself for not pulling it together after all the prep time allowed. I do look forward to the finished product, as always. dazedgingerbreadhouse

@Ripton, it would be a shame to let this go after you’ve worked so hard on it for so long.

If you’ve been practicing Part 1 all along, it should be pretty manageable and quick to switch to Part 4. Part 3 is also very doable.  These parts are needed to give the group a full, complex sound and there are fewer submissions of them.  At least you’ll be part of the presentation and you’ll get a sense of completion.

If you’re still committed to Part 1, practice like a FiddleHed.😊  Jason’s techniques might help.  Practice the challenging measures playing just the bowing rhythm at tempo on an open string without fingering the notes.  Loop them.  Next, put down the bow and play just the notes with pizzicato.  Loop that.  Then put it back together.  Also try his technique of chaining, building up the runs note by note.  Chaining nailed this piece for me.

The work on Part 1 can still pay off for playing at home now and for future Christmases.

Good luck!  You can do it!
