I watched this live streamed. This was very good. There are actually 3 parts. Full orchestra, a break while they rearrange for an ensemble of violins and violas, 3 cellos and a bass, then they rearrange and the whole orchestra is back.

As a side interest, my former acoustic cello is being used. I gave Mikey to my former cello instructor who is a student. He loves it, as does his instructor. So, my, formerly "my", cello was performing. At least the cello can perform in front of people, 😁

Would also like to know which cello used to be yours, @Mouse.

Gotta admit I saw one instrument that I could not identify.

I think I found that this is a B♭ rotary valve trumpet. Correct me if I'm wrong. And there are at least two of them in the orchestra.

Yes, that's a rotary valve trumpet. They're increasingly common recently, especially for playing Central European Romantic orchestral repertoire.

Woops, there were three. I did not see the second student you posted, JohnG. There was also a guy sitting next to the first photo you showed.

@Mouse -

Thanks for pointing it out!

Very Cool!

Never heard of the Rotary Trumpet!

Josef Kail and Joseph Reidl were responsible for making the rotary valves and obtained the patent for them in 1835. Many people believe that the rotary valves were inspired by tapping on kegs.

The trumpet differs from the classic piston trumpet in that it has its valves on the side of the instrument, trailing off of a lead pipe. It has four valves, contrary to the standard trumpets’ three, but otherwise it is actually very similar in structure. Rotary trumpets, however, are often used in a more harmonious ensemble setting. Because of its structure it has a more broad and mellow tone that allows it to blend better in orchestras and other musical groups.  https://www.globalmelodies.org.....ry-trumpet
