I certainly can't vouch for the length of time he's been playing, how many hours he's practiced or how many other instruments he's fluent with. I can say with certainty, his apparent skill level with his violin is well beyond mine and his music is a relaxing fluid.

I love that style, it does sound a bit celtic.  I'm intrigued by pick-up around his fiddle. Is that just strapped on with like Velcro ?       dunno

Is it good? Feels like it should influence the sound from the violin when it sits tight around it.

Certainly sounds good. It's going on my Christmas list!

It's good and practical. Only takes a few seconds to get it on your fiddle. It doesn't seem to affect the vibrations too much. Probably the "Realist" transducer is better but I don't like having to loosen the strings and lift the bridge every time I use it.
