My last one (well, two little pieces) - now I'll go back and check what else I've been missing !

I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh - guntohead.JPG

OK so - I believe I have caught up -

@ABitRusty  - nice one on the reel, it moves along nicely !  Great stuff and well played Greg !

@JohnG - Great collection of individual tunes there John.  That's a nice "full-voiced" instrument you have there, I like the sound of it.  Always fancied a viola- one day, one day!  TY for all the videos, you're making great progress !

And as ever, my apologies to anyone I missed since I was last on the thread.

Thanks everyone for sharing your work for the party here, well done !

@BillyG - Great video, you always seem so relaxed and cheerful when you play. Loved the "shave and haircut two bits" at the end!

@ELCBK, @ABitRusty, @Katie L, @BillyG, thanks for the kind words. It's a little discouraging though to have play for about two hours to get 3 1/2 minutes of videos, even though part of that time was playing other tunes to decide which videos to keep and share.

Lol!  Welcome to string playing!  It only gets worse.

I know I’ve spent hours practicing a single measure (not all at once).  It’s like cooking & eating a good meal.  All that time preparing—but how long does it take you to eat it?smile

@SharonC - Thanks for the continued encouragement! I guess I still have trouble remembering that I am still relatively new at this.

TYVM folks -

@ELCBK - yeah - it's been such a great party thread !  Well done !

@JohnG - ty man, and oh - I was reading above about the 2 hours to get 3 and a bit minutes of "good to use" video.....  Aye, I remember that - I wouldn't concern yourself overmuch about that - it WILL all come together !!!

@Mark - Thanks man - hope you and yours had an enjoyable holiday period!

@SharonC - ty for watching - for me, well, it's always fun to play - whatever level I'm at or however well (or poorly) I have "mastered the piece" - I don't care - it is all "in the moment".  It'll be slightly different the next time I play the same piece - so for me as I say - it's all about having fun with the instrument!

@ABitRusty - Cheers Greg!  and LOL at both your own and Johng's comment on the "shave and a haircut" out-take  -----  I'll tell you both - ANY time I do that, I have this image in my mind of the bit in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" --- it cracks me up..... Man - can't resist -

I had to add a few last tunes for this Christmas Party!

Again, just some more old and new favorites of mine*, that I hope you all will consider learning in some form or another - maybe for next year.

*Simple versions of: "Blessed Be That Maid Marie", "Cold and Raw The North Wind Doth Blow", "Here Betwixt Ass and Oxen Mild", "The Golden Carol", "Christmas Cheer", "Pat-a-Pan", "Hark The Herald Angels Sing", the end of the "Twelve Days of Christmas", and the last phrase of "Here We Come A-Caroling"!  Oops... maybe Thirteen Days of Christmas. 🙄

@ELCBK

Way to go, Emily!  Another creative Christmas melody!  Great playing of some very nice tunes—I had forgotten about Pat-a-Pan!  Long time since I heard it. Wonderful ending with the 12 days of Christmas!

That was brilliant Emily !!  Well done getting through all those pieces! I enjoyed listening to that. Also like how you are bringing your vibrato into it and how you changed tempo. Thanks for posting !
