@ABitRusty -

SPOT ON!

YOU ROCK!

I just love your style, what more can I say?
Great tune and I really enjoyed how you played it!
Thanks for keeping the Christmas Party going!

I was just thinking how nice it would be to jam a bit - you'd help keep me in time, but I'd probably mess you up... maybe not, you're pretty rock steady - 🤔 don't think anything would mess you up!  I better start by working on my timing and will add it to my 2022 goals...

- Emily

Thank yall Mark, Johng, Stringy, and Elcbk !

Emily that was someone else on bodrhan..😜  but ill take the compliment and encouragement!

Stringy just open strings.  To be honest i only meant to hit the first couple of notes and it took a bit to get the bow angle back.   its a little wonky at the end to but appreciate it.

johng i really appreciate that but youre there.  Im sure its a tune you can handle. its like all of them just takes a little bit and itll fall into place.  they never sound how we want them anyway so if you like it dont think its something crazy difficult.  put it in the rotation.

Almost missed the party. I may try later to add another, but if not, belated Merry Christmas! Here is my rendition of I Saw Three Ships.

@ABitRusty and @ELCBK - Thanks, it's due in great part to wonderful support I get here. I felt pretty good about except for a couple of minor flubs and, as my wife pointed out, I couldn't hit the C# worth a darn. Other than that, I too am happy with the result.

@JohnG  Welcome to the Party!

That was wonderful--Your bowing looks excellent!  Don’t worry about that C♯; that’s called “variations”! smile

@Katie L and @stringy - Thanks but I still find it hard to keep the bowing straight and even and it sometimes is so bad that I catch the hairs of the bow on the corner where the waist meets the upper bout! Of course, that is a wake-up call that usually makes me concentrate better.

Oh, and Katie, the setup was deliberate for the theme of the thread, and I'm glad you appreciated it!

You're a musician now--it gives you artistic license in describing your. . . melodic modifications smile

Okay, you didn't ask for it, but here it is anyway! Four more tunes.

The Holly and the Ivy, Good King Wenceslas, O Come, O Come Emmanuel, and Away in the Manger. None are excellent, but all passable.

I had to do The Holly and the Ivy since those are our two cat's names. My brother-in-law fostered four kittens around Christmas time about 11 years ago. The others were named Kris (Kringle) and Noel. I pushed to choose these two because they reminded me of this tune! Oh, and they kept the other two. Kind of a foster failure! lol

@JohnG -

WOO HOO!

Christmas Marathon!

Santa is listening - think you're on his 'NICE' list!
Really nice playing - especially
like your arrangement for 'Away In The Manger'!
Thank you for brightening my evening
with more Christmas Carols!

I'm still feelin' the Christmas Party Spirit!
