Also abitrusty I thought it was really thoughtful the way you put it together I liked the way you looked at yourself at the end it was so good.

I'm still on time! Okay, I'm cheating, it's not a carol : https://drive.google.com/file/.....sp=sharing
Put my little violin to use for a bit, too.

@wtw You have plenty of time (party runs through Jan 6th). And, you’re not cheating. It does not need to be a carol—ALL Christmas music is welcome in this party!
You played So This is Christmas wonderfully – Well done! I really like that you made this a duet! Yay for the little violin!
Merry Christmas!

Well, my Grandkids get gift bags this year, instead of my normal 'fabulous' gift wrapping, just so I could make it to the Christmas Party!
...nothing fancy, I'm afraid.*
...pretty sure my Grandkids would rather have nicely wrapped gifts. (lol)

Way to go Emily,
You sounded good on those, nice deep tone your fiddle has.
Thanks for posting!

For Christmas I got a set of mic's and some for paraphernalia to go with them.
This is the raw sound I'm getting from the set up I have at the moment.
In time I'll mess around a bit more with Audacity, I got the audio imported in to audacity and tried adding reverb but it was over the top no matter the settings, then I ran out of time before I could figure out how to export it back the to video. Oh well time to read a bit more about it.
Anyway here is, The first Noel

so comfortable in 3rd Position!
Congratulations on your new toys.
Santa (and me) know you deserve them,
for practicing so hard this past year!
Hope you'll keep me updated as to
how much fun you are having with all of it.
Thank you for making this

@SharonC @ABitRusty thank you.
If the party goes on until Jan 6, I may even have time to try another…
@ELCBK pity for your grandkids, but good for us! Putting all those songs together must have been a lot of work. A lot of practice I mean, unless you're lucky and managed that on the first take, in which case I'm jealous. Great playing, and nooo it's not just your 5th string.
(I didn't even recognise all of them 🤔 how is it called, the one you play towards the end, around 7:30? I like it a lot).
@Mark Good job, I agree you look totally comfortable 👏 thanks for sharing!
And nice Xmas presents, a good mic does make a difference, you'll get to experiment with it a bit. Can't help you with Audacity, I usually keep the raw audio ; I guess it does takes some time to edit it and then synchronise it back with the video. I had a bit of trouble synching my 3 parts together, too (i use iMovie). Can't imagine how Pierre does it with 100+ parts.
(P.S. also learned an english word from your post - paraphernalia - thanks for that too 😉)

Thank You!
"Twelfth Eve" was one I learned from listening to the Colonial Christmas CD's here:
Colonial Christmas Music Thread
Great tunes there - I've learned many more, but not well enough to record (trying not to make too many mistakes 🤣).
Wasn't hard putting the tunes together - just had to figure out which key to play each in, so that I wasn't jumping around too much.
I like to make sure I play on all 5 strings, too - will hopefully be getting a 5 string Viola in a couple months! 🤗
@Jim Dunleavy -
Thank you so much for watching!

@ELCBK Great Medley! Thank you for including the names—first time I heard of a few of them. A lot of work to string that all together smoothly--Nice transitions, too! You’ve got more steadiness now in your playing—helps bring out that nice, deep sound you’ve got in your fiddle.
Grandkids will be ok—takes them 3 seconds to rip all that pretty paper, right? And Grandma had some fiddlin’ to do!
Thank you for making this a Fabulous Christmas Party!
