Ilona - That's true for me here, too! For my "Mortimer", I'd need a coat from one of my Grandkids (lol).
It's starting to feel like...
Maybe a little early - I was going to suggest this for a Christmas GP, but I think it fits here.
Many Fiddlers, Violists and Cellists here in the USA are not old enough to remember "Captain Kangaroo" & "Mr. Green Jeans", or them singing "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas"!
I actually have this album (LP)!
I think I'll have to learn to play this for the Grandkids.

I do remember these guys (& Mr. Moose and Bunny Rabbit), and this song.
Your mentioning this song reminded me of Henrietta Hippo – in New Zoo Revue—remember that?
Characterize people by their actions and you will never be fooled by their words.

ROFL @Grandpafiddle !
I had a similar "issue" with Fiddlershop a few years back.... In fact I had to send a very strongly-worded email to them - I had purchased a Fiddlerman hat/cap - and NO - it DID NOT make me play like Pierre !!! LOLOLOL
Mike and I had ( all in fun and jest I have to add! ) a great laugh over my "complaint"
I seriously recommend not copying my mistakes. D'oh -
Please make your own, different mistakes, and help us all learn :-)

Sometimes piccolo could be handier, or the violin.... Fortunately I don't need to travel with my cello by airplane.... I would need to buy a seat for it. 😂
