You are welcome. If I'd known that I could have included midis with all my sheet-music. I always do the sheet-music with Finale and it's real easy to save a midi.

I'm probably one of the only people in here that is using TablEdit to cheat through the music. If it takes up a ton of space to save and store MIDI files on here I can bug you on a case per case basis? If Finale saves the ABC notation that's even better because that pastes in all the embellishments and accents. (probably using the wrong terms for what I mean) If not, it was just an idea. ABC would just be a small text file vs... well... bigger.  :D I do thank you very much though either way.  coffee

On "Cheap eBay violins" … Just tell people they are like a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.  With a little love, and some practice, they too can be made beautiful.

Truth is that Midi files are super small.

Finale does not save in any other notation but if someone knows of a plugin or similar I can try it out. I think Barry linked me something once.

When I practice, I always use the MIDI file, too. I just wish it gave me a few beats before it starts, so I didn't always miss the first few notes switching from mouse to bow. :-)

I'll think about that for next time HC. A metronome or something to count off.

Great idea HC ... I'm getting used to playing with a metronome, but having the midi would probably be better.  I'd better download them, might take all night.

Hear that...We need a count off. The Christmas project is 3/4 timing so we need 1-2-3 go! Time to just tell us the beat FM and give us the click track so we can all practice in the same timing.

Not until December 25th Mad Wed for Christmas. FM said he's giving us till around the end of November so you have time to practice. He's got to mix a video of all of us finicky players so he will have his hands full for sure. He's going to post the final project on Youtube so our family and friends And for the world to see. I'm excited. And tomorrow Mad Wed the stores will take down all the Halloween products and start stocking up for Christmas. That's how goofy and fun we are in the USA...We love our holidays!

Does the recording have to be any particular file type?   Will an audio recording alone be enough?  I keep seeing "video"?

I think we should keep the maracas in the finished product. It would give Christmas a nice Salsa flair! LOL

Downloaded the click track and will be pushing ... er, trying my luck soon.

Audio files are fine Oliver,

Only problem is that we won't get to see you playing. I don't know how I am going to do it yet but I will either put pictures into pictures or switch regularly from one to another. I think it would be fun to have quite a few videos though. Will make for a better end product.christmaswreath

Just right click, or control click with Mac, on the link and choose "Save Link As..."

Choose a location that you will remember and voilà. birthday_balloon
